- The government shutdown does not affect the fee-for-service activities performed by USCIS.
- All USCIS offices remain open and all applicants should attend interviews and appointments as scheduled.
- E-Verify is not fee-funded; E-Verify Customer Support and
related services are closed for the duration of the shutdown
- Further note: E-Verify is a web-based system that allows enrolled employers to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
